I am looking at a 1996 Bonair travel trailer. I would like to purchase it but am not sure if my vehicle can handle it. I drive a 2006 suzuki XL7-6 cyl, 4x4 that is rated at 3000 lbs. The trailer has a GVW of 2800 lbs. Any suggestions?
Well Cheryl, to say the least you are marginal. Based on the information you provided, your vehicle will be a little slower going up hill and will have to work a little harder. I strongly suggest that you invest in a weight distribution system, brake control & sway control.
